Gentex Supplier Conference
Gentex honored 14 companies with Supplier Awards at its Supplier Conference on April 30. Along with recognizing 12 companies as Supplier of the Year, Gentex added two new categories this year for diversity and sustainability.
During the conference, several members of the Gentex leadership team provided updates about the company’s business strategy, sustainability programs, and quality expectations.
This is the fourth year in a row Gentex has presented awards to suppliers for delivering outstanding performance in quality, cost competitiveness, delivery support, innovation, and dedication to Gentex.
In the newly created diversity category, Gentex selected a company with a shared value in developing a diverse supply base by using businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantage individuals as well as verified minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses.
The Supplier Diversity Award was presented to Cast Products.
Gentex’s approach to sustainability is to work alongside its customers, supply base, and key stakeholders to minimize its impact on the environment and operate in a socially responsible manner. To kick off this year’s new category of Sustainability Excellence, Gentex honored the highest-scoring supplier for sustainability initiatives.
The Supplier Sustainability Award was presented to Onsemi.
